I use any computer quality computer grade plastic headset boom mic wired to
a w2ihy 2 band equalizer/noise gate. While mics cost ~$5 and last 6 months
or so before something breaks, they all sound good. I cant tell them from a
705. I like the hands free freedom of the headset and use a polaroid shutter
release button for ptt. I bought the w2ihy unit from ebay for about $60 and
its seen daily use for about 21/2 years.
