Switching at this higher IF frequency is difficult. The resistance of the switch must be very low compared to the source resistor's value and have low inductance. A tiny reed switch perhaps would work.

Hmmm, has anyone considered the idea of switching the bypass capacitor  in
and out of the circuit, as conditions require?  Cap in=max rx gain; cap
out=lesser gain with improved linearity.
