Pardon me, but are you sure? When I key mine, I sure hear something clacking. Then while in cw tx mode if I listen carefully I hear the soft ticking of something that sounds like a reed relay.

thanks for the adivce re the switch. I checked the meter with a VOM and it is okay (for now). there's a pot and a fixed resistor if I recall correctly in the line to the meter when it is switched to measure Ic. I'll check them out.

<There are no TR relay contacts in the Corsair... Its diode switched. The
intermittent receive often comes from the separate receive antenna
switch on the back panel. Work in a half drop of DeoxIt to taker are of
that problem.

Any current that passes through a meter to lift and burn a foil is
usually destructive to the meter.
