[TenTec] Omni VI+ s-meter light replacement?

My Omni D used to go through light bulbs for the S-meter because I left it 
turned on all of the time.  I went to the auto parts store and bought a 12 
volt bulb.  It was not as bright, but never burnt out.  I now have a new 
Jupiter and the Omni is collecting dust, waiting for the travel trailer I plan 
to buy.
