Hi All. i bought an Omni VI about a month ago with matching power
supply-speaker combo and worked great for about a month. in last couple days
been having problem with ps. and hope someone may have suggestions. Please
e-mail dirrectly as not currently subscribed. When turn on supply it appears
to sound fine and idles normally. As soon as turn on the Omni VI a noticable
hum comes up. When touch the CW key with low power there is much louder hum
and then with full power the supply is rattling almost out of the case and
if send a "V: on CW will rattle with the sending. Checked all possible
external screws on supply and appear to be locked down fine. Am totally
blind so can't check meters easily. The receiver appears to be working fine
and appears to even be transmitting but obviously a serious problem
somewhere. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas where to go from
