Indeed, if there is an aux antenna switch, or contacts on the linear relay to ground out the receive line during linear use, you might have corroded contacts in need of cleaning. Caig products such as DeOxit or whatever they call it now, or simply pulling rough bond paper thru the closed contacts is often enough to give a relay a new lease on life for the contacts.
