[TenTec] Argo V questions

Good morning. 

I have a couple of questions about my Argo V.

1. In the cw mode the alc is on constantly when transmitting, is this normal? 
My Omni 6+ and Pegasus flash with the keyer rythm. 

2. I have to open up the AF gain a minimum of 25 % to hear anything. 
(Attenuator is off)
