I recently got a new "526" (6N2) and definitely do not have a "problem" with
the new color scheme.  IF I have a problem with my Orion it will definitely
NOT be due to the color.  The 526 is black and the Jupiter is grey BUT they
both look good and when I turn out the lights they both are equally
impossible to see.
