[TenTec] Pegasus power plug??

Hi all...
I have recently acquired a used Pegasus and am wondeing if any of you have 
problems with the power plug. 
I have had to replace the stock plug with something beefier on both my Delta 
and Corsair II since they would get a bit warm and cause a voltage drop. 
I run a lot of digitial modes and rtty....thanks in advance de Denton WB7TDG
