Since I am obviously technically deficient, would someone mind explaining to
me what a 'keying artifact' is and what a 'spectrum artifact' is? I just
don't understand those terms and need some help. Could these possibly be
caused by a "raised cosine" keying waveform?

Mike...I think you should at to you list, a 579a for artifacts?

Fortunately, I did enhance my technical knowledge this morning when I read
"Any keyed waveform will have a non-zero spectrum width"...This just blows
my brain cell.

Are all of the bands dead?

Happy Thanksgiving to All,

Tom/W4BQF

Maybe we need new suffixes:
579c for chirps
579k for clicks
579h for hash
579s for secondary carrier
579gg for general garbage on your signal, OM
579ih indescribably horrible signal

Mike
