Communication from TT confirms the new 516 has either VOX or PTT (back panel
DIN) keying for digi modes (your choice). 

The direct-to-soundcard audio in/out is a super feature for digi mode
operation and voice memory keyers. 
Great new rig with a long term outlook for future firmware upgrades.
