I sure would have to agree about the Orion. What a nice rig and
the filters are really more than I expected, even with all the specs
and hurrah! I was able to get a first hand cockpit checkout with
Doug Smith at the controls. He makes changing the parameters
sooooo easy, but I bet a couple of hours at the knobs will yield
the same feeling. This rig is supercharged competition grade.
The Argo V is very nice, and this is only my opinion, but
there are some very tough competition out there for the
same money or less and with waaay more features. Yeah,
I know about service and software, but for a few dollars
more the Jupiter is in my opinion a better buy. Maybe
after the Argo V's are out then my mind will change.
WoW, this was my third year to attend the T-T hamfest.
Those folks are sure helpful, answering a zillion questions
and seemingly never tireless. Thank you Ten-Tec for
another first class hamfest.
