Duane, Make sure the power connector from the power supply is mating correctly. The contacts have a tendency to loosen their grip due to thermal effects. This can cause alot of strange effects. I sent my Omni 6 back to the factory a few times and they could not find any fault with the radio. I found the problem to be with the power supply connector.
