Al,
I've never had a Ten-Tec rig fail, but one thing about
buying a used TT rig is that, if you can't fix it
yourself, you know who can for a reasonable price. Try
doing that with any other radio.
The caveat would be that the rig is not gummed up from
cigarette smoke.
