I just picked up a used Scout, and had a couple of
questions:
1) I take it, the freq display reads the injection
frequency, and not the operating freq? So, for SSB,
the display freq is correct, but for CW, I have to
add/subtrack 750Hz for the correct operate freq? [I
think subtract for 80, 40, 30, and add for above, I'll
check again tonight in the manual.]
2) For mobile operation, other than the notes in the
manual (don't start the car with the radio turned on),
are there any other notes? Most of the other TenTec's
needed magnetic breakers etc; regular fusing will be
ok?
3) Anybody have a bad band module, or know how I can
locate the plastic bar used to remove the module? I
have one module without the plastic bar.
4) Anyone have an 80m module they don't want anymore?
