The problem is similar to a microphone that must be at some distance from a PA amplifier. The classic setup would be to step the mike down to a very low impedance, use well shielded cable, and then step it back up to the amps input impedance. That's two well shielded audio transformers and shielded cable. If you get hum amplify the audio before the stepdown transformer so it will override the hum pickup. 73 Pete Allen AC5E |
