A lot of hams seem to think that a rig is high quality if the tuning knob is a 5 lb hunk of metal that you can spin. I've never understood that. Who moves around a band by spinning the tuning knob? This message did not specifically mention that, but I know a lot of guys like that heavy weighted flywheel effect. It's okay, but is it another irrational way of evaluating a whole radio...or not?

Cheap feeling main tuning knobs. (I've always wondered why Ten Tec >cannot
make a rig with a decent main tuning knob such as one on ANY of the
competition.)
