Yet another question...
I can't get my Corsair bezel/tuning knob to act the way I think it should.
(Same exact
problem with the VFO)
With my TS-820S it works perfectly for my wishes. Say I want to co-ordinate to
14.000.0 If the bezel is off from the frequency in the display,
I hold the bezel at the 00 and turn the knob till the frequency is 14.000.0 &
it's done.
Perfect & easy, just what I expect.
With the Corsair it appears to be the bezel that's tied to the VFO, not the
knob and
holding the bezel prevents any turning of the knob from making a change. With
the
bezel held, the knob turns but does nothing. When I release the bezel; turning
the
knob changes the frequency.
I just removed the knob from the VFO thinking it might be stuck from hardened
residue but After removing the felt bushing it doesn't look like the bezel is
easily
removed & is held in place by three contact points daubed with black paint.
I see nothing I can do to change the bezel position and not the frequency or
vice
versa.
Am I missing the obvious somehow?
I'd like it to be as straightforward and easy as my 820S is to change.
When I work split, it would be helpful to match frequencies, put the VFO's
bezel on 0
& then if I want to go up 8 I can do it without having to play mental
gymnastics each
time I do it.
Thanks,
