Neither center pin will carry the 10 amps current required to feed a 50 ohm load 500 volts. Considering the center conductor of RG58 is only 18 or 20 gauge, the WIRE won't carry more than a couple amps. I've been using BNC connectors for HF 100 watt applications for decades.
