Larry, I want to thank you for taking time to present the detailed
description of the Scout keying and frequency management tasks and for
answering my questions so well.

I think now that I pretty well understand your statements about the CPU
speed being more than adequate and why using an external keyer does NOT
remove the drift/jump problem. I had not considered that insufficient data
might be unavailable at the higher keying rates to allow the CPU, even a
much faster CPU, to process the data and apply a correction voltage change
in the time available.
