I guess it would be nice that when an upgrade comes out, it has a file name that reflects the Version level. I always make a note to rename, but I can see that this could be overwritten. I also was lucky enough to wait before loading the latest and greatest, since I see there is some gremlins in the pot. On another note, once the new software is loaded in, is a reset of the radio necessary? It's no fun reprogramming memories(which I use as fast band/mode changing function) once a reset has been made.
