[TenTec] TT 302J Encoder/Keypad

Hi Gang. TT just sent me the 302J encoder/keypad and cable. My "Juniper"
radio is in there service dept so I can't try it out. I know that it plugs into
the remote jack on the back of the Juniper - did anyone ever get an instruction
sheet with there 302?  OR if I plug it in, when I get it back, does it just 
run itself?
