The DB-25 on the Omni VI is a female connector.
Here's what I did, Terry:
1. Get three DB-25's; one male (pins), two female (sockets).
2. Wire up one DB-25 female for the VFO. Label the connector/cable
appropriately
3. Wire up the second DB-25 female for the Computer. Label the
connector/cable appropriately
4. Wire both DB-25 females to the appropriate DB-25 male connector
pins.
Now, you have maximum flexibility and have made only about 16 or 20
solder joints.
