Tim,

I don't have an OMNI, but I have had a hum with my Paragon. It turned
out to be the monitor function. When the monitor pot on the rear panel
was turned up, and the (dynamic) mic was placed near the power supply,
the mic would inductively pick up hum from the power transformer. The
hum would then get amplified by the monitor circuit. Another thing to
check is the headphones. Good quality stereo type 'phones have alot of
sensitivity and band width, which sometimes translates into a hum
sensitivity. The solution to this is a simple resistive attenuator.
