Dear Electron2 and Ten-Tec List Members,
I have come across the Service Manual Library of a recently-closed TV
service shop in Flagler Beach, FL. The collection covers 1940's-present.
An 80-year-old friend of the retired shop owner is storing this in his
garage as a favor to his old buddy.
I saw about a dozen steel 4-drawer file cabinets plus boxfulls of loose
service docs. This professional collection covers all manner of consumer
devices from yesteryear's classic TV sets to today's VCR's. I would rate
the collection as quite comprehensive.
The basic deal is that this resource is FREE to a good and deserving home.
You come to Flagler Beach, load up, and have your fun in the surf before or
after. I think a modest thank-you stipend to this fellow would be highly
appropriate.
There already is considerable interest in this collection, and *please* do
NOT write me about needing copies of individual titles. This is strictly a
U-load, all or nothing deal.
To help me sort competing offers, please be as specific as possible about
your commitment to a firm time and date to pick up these materials.
I'd like to see this library go to a trade school, but individual
entrepreurs are most welcome to state their cases and needs.
RSVP & 73!
