You may find a search word of "electroluminescent" on Yahoo.com
to be productive....
and, tomorrow, if I can remember to check my day planner, I will
check at work and see what kind we used on some photo ID machines
we modified about 20 years ago. They were strips about 3" long,
5/8" high, with two flexible contact tabs. They operated at 115v
ac. We used them to backlight a clear plastic bar to expose the
photographic paper with the NASA logo and photo ID number.
Worked pretty neat.
