Bob, I had the same type problem a couple years back with a Compudyne
monitor, when it broke I replaced it with a SAMSUNG
SyncMaster 700s and the problem was gone.

Thanks for comments.  I figured out the problem.  The monitor was not
shielded too well.  I traded it in for a more expensive one and the problem
