Anyone align one of these rigs? I found that in CW my center
frequency was about 850 Hz (and that is rough with the 250 Hz
filter). I got the audio filter and its center was dead on
at 750 Hz. So....I needed to get them to match.
I looked in the manual, page 3-18, and the procedure refers to
C1 and C2 only. There is C1, C2 and C3. I suspect a misprint
(there must be one, as they are marked on the schematic differently
than the instruction references.) Anyway, I can get the CW
center frequency to about 750 Hz, but then it is difficult to
get the center where I want it on SB-N without taking SB-R out into
never never land. I got the two to "sound" the same (centered
properly?) - that is, SB-N and SB-R sound approximately the same
place relative to center, but then the sound from the receiver is
a bit too high cut for my tastes. If I get SB-N where I want it,
SB-R is in bad shape. Oh well.
Anyone have success with this procedure?
