Omni 6 Upgrades

Has anyone changed the chip to upgrade their Omni 6?  When I did this, I
have noticed that the frequency readout is not stable.  While running the
Omni and Hercules II on 3980.34, the display would change between .34
and .33, back and forth.   This had not happened prior to the change of
the chip.
