This is Phil's second message about working non-Sprint stations so everyone
gets full contact credit.

Subject: Working Non-Sprint Stations - It's OK!
There is no reason for stations in the CW Sprint to not call a station
CQing in another contest. The BC and VT QSO Parties will be active during CW
Sprint this weekend. (The MN QSO Party ends just as CW Sprint begins at
0000 UTC.) These stations will be found around 35 and 50 kHz above the
band edge, respectively, although they may move up after Sprint gets going.
It is perfectly OK to make a QSO with a non-Sprint station as long as you
get the necessary information from them. DO NOT TRY TO TAKE THEIR
FREQUENCY!! They do not have to QSY after the contact. If they decide to
submit a Sprint log, all that is necessary is for your call to be in their
log at the date and time you claim the QSO took place. They want your
state or province and will be sending you a county or district code that
you can use for their name. Ask (nicely) for "NR?" so you can complete the
Sprint exchange and then say thank you and QSY! By knowing the exchange
for other contests, all stations can make more QSOs for full contest credit.
For complete information about contests active this weekend, check out the
Contest Calendar website. This link gives all contests active in the next
8 days: https://contestcalendar.com/weeklycont.php
Thanks for being a friend of the CW Sprint!
