Subject: [CQ-Contest] Help needed with Hamplus Four Stack II System
I'm helping convert/declutter the K5NA/K5DU multi-op station to a single op
station and I'm stuck trying to figure out how these Hamplus Four Stack II
switches work that were used at 4 different operating positions. I've read
over the manual but ended up with more questions than answers. I'll bet
there is a Portuguese manual that makes sense, but the English version may
have lost something in the translation. I may have inadvertently held the
ENTER button and changed something before reading that it might be a thing.
We may also have damaged switch units up two of the towers since two of the
boxes power down when the control cable is connected, however, that may just
be a "feature" that means something to somebody. Between a freak freeze and
a lightning storm that hit the station recently, these boxes may have
suffered damage.
Is there a Hamplus Four Stack II user on here willing to let me call them
and bend their ear a bit on this topic? I'm sure these are very simple to
somebody. Please contact me directly if you can help me figure these out.
Just to set expectations, I live in Houston and the station is in Austin, TX
(about 2.5 hour drive away) so the conversation will mainly be planning for
my next visit since I won't have the boxes in front of me.
Thanks,
Bob K5WA
