The DXE foot switches are hard-core... heavy and non-slip. It is hard to
lose them, even on a tile floor.

I use a thick rubberized kitchen floor mat from Costco (like you'd use in
front of sink).
It stays in place, and the cushioned top keeps the footswitch in one place.
