I have no idea what prompted the DQ this year. The following sentence that
Terry, N4TZ, cited was already included as VII. Prefix Multipliers (b) in
the 2006 WPX Contest rules, the oldest WPX rules available at the website:



Prefixes must be assigned by the licensing authority of the country of
operation.
