Luis, I have been successfully using a pair of FT1000MPs with full filtering and good audio control technique for years. I decided to buy a third one as my back-up. Getting repairs done and still being ready for a contest was my priority. I paid $1200 for a very clean FT1000MP as my back up. If your budget is a concern, you should give it consideration.
