My trip to Dayton was an abbreviated one this year since I had to attend
my son's high school graduation on Saturday morning. Didn't make it to
Ohio until that afternoon. There are lot's of restaurants in the
Beavercreek (around the US35 / I-675 area) which isn't too far from
Xenia. Of course whenever I go to southwest Ohio I have to get my
Skyline Chili and Frisch's fix since I grew up eating that stuff .
I only made it out to the Hamvention on Sunday morning for a couple
hours or so. It was muddy and I parked at the high school, which was
quick and easy. One observation I made is that there didn't seem to be
as many vendors this year? Maybe that was an illusion on my part since
everything was spread out in multiple buildings. There was hardly anyone
in the flea market. Maybe people left early due to the mud. Still a
great job by DARA putting on a good show with a short lead time.
