Why would anyone return unwanted cards? It sure would have helped the
environmental impact by putting them in the recycling bin........Right?
I still remember the 1st qsl cards I got and the thrill of getting home
from school to run to the mailbox to see if I got any new cards. This
is part of getting people hooked!
We continue to move away from personalized things that made us fall in
love with our hobby.

" Since 2012, the RSGB has been a world leader in promoting responsible
QSLing. It has encouraged Members to 'think before they send' and to use
OQRS, Club Log and Logbook of The World as alternatives to the routine
sending of paper cards. There's no doubt that many Members are helping to
reduce costs and environmental impact. Unfortunately, an increasing number
of cards are being returned in bulk from other bureaus marked 'not a
member' or 'does not collect'. So perhaps for 2017 we should change our
slogan from 'think' to 'Check before you send'. "
