That I will agree with 100%
The bands are DEAD. the only time they even sound like when I first got
licensed ( 1975 ) is during a contest.
20 meters on a Saturday afternoon back then, it was extremely rare to
have a contact where there wasnt a high pitched donal duck above you
and a grumble grumble below you all the time. geez now it's all private
channels like on 2 meters for cripes sake.

Contesting in general.
Is it MORE, or LESS Popular than it used to be.
I mean the level of activity, People operating whether they send in a log or
not. In other words People just making Contacts for what ever reason they have.
And then actual Contesters that send in entries, This should be able to be
determined by the results.
But the question is.
The level of participation both Contesters, and people just making contacts,
the level of activity now, vs say in the 90's or even 70's or even 60's
How is the level now compared to back then?
