For those who need a weekly dose of RTTY contesting, we continue the
NS (SPRINT) format practice sessions,
0145-0215Z, which worked out well the past few weeks.
Dupes OK after one intervening QSO on the same band, or on another
band. Great SO2R practice.
This Thursday I will be hosting an open house for the local radio club.
This includes live SO2R contesting demos in both the RTTY NS and CW NSL.
I'll attempt to narrate what I'm doing at the same time!
The 30 minute RTTY sprint practice will be held on Thursday night, 45
minutes before the CW NSLadder:
0145to 0215Z July 25, Thursday night in NA, 6:45-7:15 PM PDT,
9:45-10:15 PM EDT, etc.
15, 20, 40, 80m; +80 khz from bottom; above 3583 on 80m.
15m has been reliably open for some time, start there.
100w, Sprint rules - see link below.
If you are intimidated by sprint rules, don't worry, just get on and
CQ (then move 2 khz) or call someone and acquire the freq.
A new page has been set up on the NCCC website with the RTTY NS info.
It has several links to all sorts of "how to" articles.
