Although we tend to be semi serious contesters here in FN66 (NB) most of the
time, a VE9 friend of mine is thinking we might like to do a laid back FD
here in a couple weeks. This means 2 rigs and 2 temp antennas installed the
day of FD. No towers and few trees, but I have a fair sized yard and can
probably manage antennas 100-125' apart.

Thinking of a ground mounted multiband vertical and a ZS6BKW(G5RV-like) as a
semi horizontal dipole, approaching an inverted V, apex @ about 25'; element
tips at 8-10'

Question; Do the masses believe I won't smoke the front ends on both rigs
running 100w if given 100' separation ? (no filters, no stubs.each rig on a
different band).we'll do 80m-6m

I know I'd likely be perfectly OK @ 5w, but 100w is a little more fun .
(Means we can run not just be relegated to S&P operation)

I have read, conversely to what I might think, that I should locate the
vertical broadside to the dple and not off the dple end tips as I might have
guessed.

Thanks !

Mike VE9AA.....if this works out, I might try some actual SO2R this fall.
Until now I have never tried it.
