I suspect that the "can't squeeze in my callsign between CQs" problem is
more due to SO2R ops who are just holding the frequency while they are
working on the other radio. During the contest this weekend, I found one or
two stations who were CQing so fast that to get my 1x3 in I had to crank up
the keyer speed to over 45wpm, just to get it to "fit". (They didn't
answer, of course).
