The error in the example above is that K1ZZ would never call a station
without hearing the callsign first.

I recall Dave once saying that there really is no excuse for busted
calls when you are doing S&P, since you should know who you are
calling.

He is a master of the essential skills and someday when I grow up I
hope to be half as good an operator as he is.
