Hi guys.
Remote contesting. The 500 m diameter rule.... I don't see the correlation.
What do the op has to do with the antennas being hooked up to the transmiter(s)
and located within an imaginary 500 m diameter circle?
The op can be touching the radio, a few feet away on the couch or taking a bio
break with wireless keyboard and headset or even thousand miles away. It
doesn't make a difference, as long as he/she reports he was operating a station
somewhere else.
What IS indeed wrong, is when someone is claiming to be operating from a given
location but actually he/she has remote RX or remote TRX to take un unfair
advantage over the others. But that, is a completely different story.
Just my opinion.
