Either that, or someone else was pirating his call.

That's one thing wrong with the "courtesy" feature of packet, which I
think was initially set up so if you wanted to give credit for the
spot to someone else, you could use his callsign for the spotter as a
courtesy. But it's been abused.

The "humorous" abuses such as posting spots from AP1RIL on April 1,
and GH0ST, GH0UL etc. on Halloween I can live with, even get a chuckle
from. The malicious stuff we can all can do without.
