My 800SA has no visible provision for switching 110/220, and the 
schematic does not indicate a dual voltage primary on the power 
transformer, so I'm afraid you're stuck with some sort of external 
step-down device.  I'd be a little concerned that the devices made for 
hair dryers and similar heating devices might have unsuitably high noise 
levels when used for a rotator.
