On another thought,

What if all there is, IS dialup where you live. What happens now you
have to tie up the phone for the duration of the contest?
Will it even work at all on a non high speed connection?
what happens if your get dropped like happens so often on dialup? (as
well as my DSL yeah I know they say there are remedies))
what happens then do you have to stop operating to try to get your
connection back?
and or with the DSL in my case if I chose not to cure the RF problem,
why should it effect my ability to operate the contest?IT is a RADIO
contest, submitting logs made by a computer is all and all good, but
may as well do the whole test on one of the similuated internet radios
is what it's going to,

it to me sucks.

Just at the time I was going to push about a dozen clubs in the area
here to get into contesting. if this is the direction it's gonna go
to, I'm not gonna even try.
