I agree with Bob. I enjoy 160 a lot, but my setup is quite modest, and
working any DX is a treat. The US covers a lot of geographical territory,
and working the West Coast from Delaware can be a chore.
There's not much incentive for stations like mine to participate in the Stew
Perry.
Thanks to all with whom I made Qs in the ARRL 160 Meter Contest last
weekend. My apologies to the three stations I worked with my old FT-101E for
having to put up with my post-stroke hand key sending.

Well this automatically tips the scale in favor of EU with all the tightly
packed countries on the continent. Germany and France or no further apart
than Mississippi and Alabama. If you want to disallow contacts, disallow
them from within the same grid square or a perimeter of grid squares of the
operator.
