I was upset by CLOCK example in the manual which showed time change from
11:50 to 12:00. I thought it was tweaking 11:59 to proper start :-(
However, the main reason I wrote my contest program in 1984 was to avoid
keeping manual record of time! Second task was dupes, mults third.
Time shifting can be a "great" tool in multi-op environment to on-line
correct violations of 10 minutes rule.
Two of recently DQ Balkan stations used Wintest but according to 9A1P he did
corrections afterwards.
Partner is fine tool unless the single op finds one :-( Lot of statistical
probability work is required afterwards.
I usually don't think in these terms but recent DQ events made me
suspicious. I don't like SH5 and similar editing programs either.

Mario,
N1MM has a "Partner" mode ( I think it's now "Call Stacking"). At least at
one point you could have 2 people listening to the same pileup and pulling
calls out. CT had this before anyone else.
N1MM has the ability to correct/change time offset. It's used post contest
to change (typically) the entire log when you realize you had your clock set
wrong.
Not sure what the "Clock" tool is.

I do not see your point of misuse.
Partner for instance is just a stack of calls heard by the second operator
and time shift is a tool to correct the time offset caused by a pc clock.
With clock you probably mean the pc time window on the WT screen taken from
the system clock.

I am straight happily using WinXP and N1MM Logger for a long time. I
operated E7HQ with obligatory Wintest and just downloaded demo version.
I am surprised with some commands like: clock, time shift, partner. They
might be easily misused for time compression in multi-op environment.
I wonder how others feel about this software after CQ WW SSB DQ barrage?
