You know, I think the person who chastised the "get a life" comment may have
been acting in kindness to a gentleman that has earned our respect, but...
Even at 85, there is such a thing as being overly fervent about meaningless
issues. I'm not sure, absent some mental incapacity, why anyone who is not a
contester would care so deeply about something so insignificant as to use
the term "wholesale liar's club". I'm not even sure what that means. Is that
a reference to Costco? Do you get lies at a discount? What is the retail
outlet for lies?
And with all due respect to EI5DI, who's motivation is NOT that the 59(9)
signal reports aren't true, but rather why we need them at all, I'm not sure
even why contesters should care.
As for the false nicknames, hey, this is a HOBBY. It's SUPPOSED to be fun.
If it's not fun, what's the point? I love it when the nickname game is
played. I also respect when it's done in remembrance of a recent SK.
I just don't know why so many people get their knickers in a knot over
nothing.
