I recall that Dick, KV4AA, held some yearly QSO record in the Guiness
Book of Records. Don't recall the numbers but it was something
40,000 or 50,000 per year (or maybe double that!). So that would
take 20-25 years -- certainly within his capability. And "only"
requires 100+ plus per day and that would take and hour or two at the
rate he used to rip them off.
Someone surely recalls the details better than I do -- just thought I
would get someone else's brain cells working on it by this preliminary answer.
