Along with the ARRL Soapbox (www.arrl.org/contest/soapbox) forum for stories
and photos - as long as you like - some of the contest writeups are starting
to include Regional Analysis by local authors. ARRL DX Phone and CW are two
such writeups. The primary authors really can not get to the level of
detail required - there's just too much work involved.
If every section or zone or even contest club would contribute a "local
results editor" for a contest, I'm sure the sponsors would be delighted to
include the content in the Web writeup. The content could be hosted on the
results Web site or a link to the content posted. The key is to have
someone knowledgeable about local and regional competition step up to do it.
For example, if contest clubs would write up the ARRL DX Phone contest for
their members and post it on a Web site, send me the URL and I will include
it in the contest writeup. If we want to see more local-level recognition,
then step up and do it!
